Perspectives

Placemaking defines our work. Our integrated approach to architecture, landscape and urban design proposes a framework that helps repair and reinforce a sense of place.

Across cities, landscapes, homes, towers, adaptive reuse and civic projects, we believe architecture should be clear in purpose, enduring in quality and enriched by materiality, craft, light and landscape.

Cities

Evolved and variously settled over time, urban settings have a unique history and underlying spatial order. When asked to intervene in such places our first aim is always to understand this underlying logic. Through analysis of a place’s strengths and constraints, we develop frameworks that structure space and activity, enabling coherent and deliverable development.

Landscapes

At every scale our work is about ‘place-making’, considering landscape design as integral to the overall architectural vision. Our work spans from delicate horticulture to the engineering of dock edges and large-scale earth moving, and in every project, we aim to add economic and social value to the wider environment.

Living

From Residential, BTR, Co-Living, Later Living and BPSA, we design housing-led environments that balance economic value with spatial quality, achieved through clear organisation and careful detailing. Our approach responds directly to physical and social context, integrating planning considerations from the outset to deliver coherent and viable proposals.

Towers

The success of a tall building depends on establishing a clear identity within its context and contributing meaningfully to the London skyline. We understand towers as part of the lived city, shaped by how they are experienced at ground level as much as their presence in the wider urban fabric.

Reuse

We take a special interest in creating new places in sensitive settings and have successfully navigated a number of planning approvals for heritage and listed sites. These have included listed buildings, semi-rural sites, and those on Metropolitan Open Land.

Civic

Our cultural and civic projects create places for public life, supporting a range of uses that encourage interaction and community activity. We begin by understanding the role of a site within its wider urban context, identifying opportunities to strengthen connections, improve accessibility and shape meaningful public spaces

Projects

Our portfolio includes masterplans, residential and mixed-use developments, alongside education, infrastructure and cultural projects. We focus on new city additions, shaping diverse places that respond to and build upon the existing urban grain.
